I’d like to think I figured out most of the basic bits of Irish culture while living there, but this one is both baffling and ridiculous. I discovered this practice when visiting Bull Island, and then again down in Waterford (Wexford? Somewhere down there).
Anyway, this one is just idiotic. Cars and beaches don’t mix.

This is a extremely rare thing in Ireland. Most beaches don’t
allow cars..
